Saint Pete, Florida ... on 35mm

I've had my dad's old analog camera laying at home for a few years now. My new friend Michelle, who is an amazing wedding film photographer, convinced me to try myself at film photography. So, I did.

I cannot put in words how big of a step it was for me leaving my digital camera at home, but I did it: I only brought the Canon AV-1 on our last trip to the United States.

So after a few days of being nervous the photos would all either come out completely over- or underexposed, I received them back from FIND Film Lab yesterday.

So, may I present to you my first 35 mm film roll from our time in Saint Petersburg, Florida.

We discovered wild animals.

I made Y stop in the middle of the road for beautiful blooming trees.

We enjoyed relaxing afternoons at our beautiful Airbnb in the Historic Kenwood Area.

We went back to our favourite book store. Haslam's Books is a true institution in Saint Petersburg.

We devoured tasty breakfasts at the cute Cassis Bakery on Beach Drive. Their coffee is so smooth and their croissants so crisp and fresh. And their location: prime!

And then, we spent our Valentines Day on Saint Pete Beach. The exact same place we used to come to when we were living in the area. We picked up Sushi and were attacked by birds just like in the good old days. It was one of the most romantic evenings. We might or might have not also had wine at the beach.

And when the sun had set Y took a detour to drive by our old apartment. <3

I love my life!
